The MHS Library remembers Gabriel García Márquez, the recently deceased Noble Laureate for Literature.
In 1982, García Márquez became the first Colombian to win a Nobel Prize and the Nobel Foundation stated, “His novels and short stories, in which the fantastic and the realistic are combined in a richly composed world of imagination, reflect a continent’s life and conflicts.”
The MHS Library houses many of his best-known works in English and many more in his native Spanish. You are warmly welcome to visit and borrow from our display of his works.
