Today, many excited but somewhat nervous students and parents came to St. John’s for their new family orientation.
After a light breakfast, the program in the theater started. The families were introduced to the principals and their secretaries, as well as other staff members they will be interacting with regularly. This short, formal program was followed by videos showcasing our arts, athletic and academic programs. The students were then ready to start their section-specific programs, with returning students on hand to help them.
The parents stayed in the Performing Arts Center to meet the parent group representatives as well as people from many organizations that provide services to our community, including sports organizations, churches, youth groups and others to help their integration into Belgium. A big thank you to the Welcome Committee and St. John’s admissions department for organizing the orientation.
We welcome all the new students and parents to the St. John’s family and wish them a great start to the school year!
