As the school year draws to a close, we would like to remind you that the date for the 2015 International Festival at St. John’s is Friday October 9th.
As many of you know, the International Festival is a special time for all of us to show our cultural pride. At last years festival we had over 50 countries represented in the parades and 35 county booths. The children will be able to visit the country booths during the morning of October 9th and participate in the afternoon parade. The evening is always a livelier event with both children and some parents participating in the parade and food and drinks provided by all the country booths after. This event is not to be missed!
As most of you prepare to head ‘home’ for your holidays, please remember to bring back costumes and food that you may want to use for the festival. You also may want to choose a theme and a leader for your country before the holidays start.
Our first meeting will be held during the first full week of school so please watch for the meeting notification.
The 2015 International Festival at St.John’s will be a huge success because our community! Thank you in advance for participating.
We wish you a safe and happy summer holiday.
