St. John’s students inducted into the National Honor Society

Yesterday, 20 St. John’s grade 11 and 12 students were inducted into the National Honor Society (NHS). NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Students who meet the academic requirements can apply with a letter of motivation. A faculty council reviews the applications to determine which students show leadership, are involved in service for the betterment of the community and activities that demonstrate character through actions of respect, responsibility, trustworthiness, fairness, caring, and citizenship.

The new students were inducted by the 19 current NHS members. Congratulations to the new members on their achievement.
